My 35th Birthday in Provence, La Bastide de Marie

Just turned 35 but was born 50.

What a year; it feels like my official coming out following an extended pandemic stress, health scares, building my private practice, starting to travel again and watching my baby grow into a preschool aged, talking toddler, the most exciting perhaps of them all.

The last five years have been a whirlwind since I turned 30, got married to the love of my life, remodeled our first home together, adopted our girls and birthed Parker! Everything in between has been such blur reflecting back, but I am proud to say we’ve managed to create some great memories and being halfway through my 30s doesn’t scare the way most women think it will.

I’ve never feared getting older, my only real fear now is being unfulfilled. And so far balancing both my passions of being a therapist and content creator has brought me so much complexity, inspiration and gratitude for the life I am living now with Parkito and the man in the cream polo.

As for advice, I don’t have much more to offer than what everyone else before me has always said; find a way to live your passions, even if it’s just part-time and just for you. Find gratitude where you can. Keep your loved ones close, cherish the time you have together.

Bask in where you are, whether it’s the place you call home or the most serene Provençal countryside sunset on your 35th birthday, dreaming of where you are and everyone you wish to share the moment with.

Cheers to 35 going on 50.
