Monica In New York City
Here’s a big secret about me… this was my FIRST time in the big apple, New York City! I know, it’s shocking and terribly embarrassing, but it’s true. Fortunately, I waited until my 25th birthday and made it an awesome trip nonetheless! Here are some of the highlights. FIRST and foremost, when starting to plan this ambitious two and a half day trip I had one thing on the very top of my list. And that was to see Eloise at the Plaza! Like many other young girls I grew up adoring

Hotspot: Trees Please
One thing I absolutely love is dining al fresco . And that is why I love Los Angeles, because you can pretty much do this anytime of the year, without worrying about freezing to death or having the humidity snatch your appetite. And LA restaurants capitalize on this. Sure they have heat lamps, tents, and my favorite, blankets, but it’s because people LOVE eating outside! And trust me, the ones who live here take it for granted. They “expect” the patio to be open all year roun

Hotspot: Beachy Manicures In Brentwood
I must admit, before this fabulous nail salon opened, I was certain the space would be a wonderfully new and trendy French eatery in Brentwood… When Côte debuted as a beachy nail salon and shop, I was pleasantly surprised! Although I pride myself on getting $20 mani/pedi’s every two weeks down the street, I will say, this place might be a game-changer. Yes, we have seen some other luxury nail salons around Los Angeles, but this one stands out! The whole look is so incredi

Hotspot: Beachy Manicures In Brentwood
Hotspot alert! Herringbone has moved up the coast and right into Hollywood on the flashy sunset strip. I visited the La Jolla location while visiting the beautiful beach town with my family this Christmas and LOVED the vibe (see more below). So of course when I heard it was taking over the space where Asia de Cuba was at the Mondrian Hotel I knew I had to see it myself. As a venue the space is prime sunset real estate with unparalleled views of Los Angeles and a bar, adjacent

Hotspot: Capitol
On a visit to Sacramento, CA I managed to do more then just lobby for better bills, but also found time to check out the best spots in the small city and California State capitol…Sacramento’s no Los Angeles or New York, but certainly has some sweet stops worth trying… Every girl needs her morning cappuccino and macaroon, right? Well this girl does; no need for an average Starbucks, not when a cute little caffe exists right on K street…parisian charm delivered, check! {estelle

Currently Craving: Sweet Tooth
This past weekend was my best friend Emma’s birthday and thus finding her a great gift was my TOP priority…Knowing how large of a sweet tooth Emma has, I ventured down the street to an adorable and amazingly delicious/addictive bakery .. SUSIE CAKES … Specializing in the business of irresistibly scrumptious cupcakes, I can see why the small California chain is so successful, with many loyal consumers, one of which being Emma…Thus making this the obvious choice for her bir

A Sur Thing
This past weekend my girlfriends and I stumbled across this sweet, sexy, small hotspot in West Hollywood… with food described as “Mediterranean-Californian,” the eclectic menu SUR-passed my expectations… Owned by a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple, Lisa and Ken Vanderpump, the design of this space is evidence of their well-traveled taste… The dinning area is has simple white slipcovered furniture, is dimly lit, and is accented with fresh flowers and vintage candles, a
