New Year Tablescape, Same Me
We all have that one thing that sparks absolute magic within us. Aside from our family and friends, it’s something absolutely remarkable, a feeling you get when your true self gets fully realized. I’m fortunate to have two of those things, both equally magical. One of which is my creative spark, when I dream up something and then finally see it all come together, typically style related; an outfit, a scene, an absolute perfect moment, so palatable I can almost taste it. And t

Haute Holiday: Christmukkah x London at Christmastime
As is Christmukkah for me. At the end of every year I have the pleasure to celebrate not one, but two of the best holidays of the season; three if you count the significance of New Year's Eve for my Russian family members! Typically we celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah separately, given the eight nights of Hanukkah land on varying dates so any and all overlapping of the two feels extra special. Last time the two coincided I went all out with my colorful Christmukkah table and

Fall Fondue
We love cozy nights on our rooftop entertaining family and friends and now that the holidays are upon us my ideas for fun are in full swing. Especially when pairing champs and cheese, the perfect meal on a candlelit, chiller evening tucked under a comfy throw. I’m no newbie to fondue, it’s my favorite wintertime meal (even in Los Angeles) and so if you want more info on how to setup fondue, see my guide here . I wanted to embrace spooky season with a overflowing wax wine bott

Summer Tablescape, Inspired by Italy
Summer is in full swing and I have the plates to prove it! This 4th of July was a lovely day on our rooftop patio with a mix of both American and Italian classics, like fresh pesto pasta, olives, spritz and buffalo mozzarella, as well as fresh veggies and burgers on the grill, topped off with a visit to the local gelato shop to commence the lazy holiday at home. The weather was perfectly bright and sunny, our toddler beyond ready for bath and bed right on time, my husband and

Haute Holiday: Hanukkah Tablescape
There is no question how tough the last couple months have been on the Jewish people, war victims and the rest of the world watching the atrocities committed by Hamas in Gaza. I, like so many other moms have suffered vicarious trauma watching the videos of innocent children and hostages and perhaps even worse, seeing Israel be blamed for it. With the rise of antisemitism and the fearful rhetoric heard around the world I have never been more concerned, and in the same breath,

A Festival Fall Tablescape
The Toblerone bar can become a candy cane, the florals could use some spider web detail on the 31st, the place cards can be adorned onto a mini pumpkin, a dreidel would sit nicely above the salad plate and pink is my favorite color for Christmas. Welcome to the start of the festive season where we’re serving Halloween at cocktail hour, Thanksgiving as an appetizer, Christmakkuah as the main course and New Year’s Eve for dessert. Cheers! Monica's 34th Birthday Soiree
It’s the pinnacle of summer, the warmest month of the year, when most of the world is too hot to do anything other than relax, gather and indulge under the sun. Luckily for me, it’s also my birthday and as you might expect I happen to love it for this very reason. August 12th is always a good day to celebrate something, including yours truly. So I hosted an intimate dinner party with some friends on my recently renovated rooftop garden. The inspiration essentially being the

St. Tropez Inspired Crudites And Rose
Our rooftop space was completed just time for the sun to finally make it’s way back to Los Angeles like a toxic ex-boyfriend and alas we had our first opportunity to entertain just in time for the 4th of July holiday. I’ll admit I’m not feeling so patriotic lately given the state of our country but I’ll never ignore a chance to gather, or take it for granted after the pandemic, most certainly when the stars align for some al fresco summer fun. When designing this space my mo

A Simple Spring Tablescape
Well Passover and Easter are here and thus the official start to spring/summer entertaining has begun. Finally the daylight lasts longer, allowing more freedom and time to spend with friends and family and this year’s spring holiday was no exception. I set the table swiftly following a long day of seeing clients, after stopping by the local bakery to pick up some much loved caramel and chocolate covered matzos and a mini flourless chocolate cake. The florals I chose were bri

A Galentine's Day Pizza Party
Because Valentine’s Day is for the girls. It’s hard to imagine the rosy hues, words of affirmation, chocolate truffles and brilliant floral arrangements don’t have a place in validating some of the most significant relationships we have, with friends. Counter to couple centric culture the concept of Galentine’s Day rings so true in my heart, that we have a special celebration for the people we might not spend everyday with but who bring so much joy, depth and connection to ou

A Colorful Christmukkah
I celebrate Christmukkah every year, but this is one is sure to be pretty special. This year the eight nights of Hanukkah happen to coincide with December 25th, thus creating an even more legitimate alignment of the two holidays I love most truly blending into one big Christmukkah! So naturally I had to go all out. So let me tell you a little story about why Christmukkah is so special to me. I always found comfort in both holidays but never felt a real part of either. My moth

Chic-o-Ween: A Fan-Affair For My Instagram Icons
Halloween themes can get tricky the older you get and the more style, quite frankly, you have. Since I love an interactive dinner table I thought masks would be the easiest way to make it fun; a simple and an easy “costume” for guests. And so after pursuing all the generic options: animal ears, kitschy masquerade or an assortment of washed out celebrities, I decided to make my own collection instead. And what could be a more perfect tablescape accessory given all the fanfare?

Mid-Midsummer Birthday Celebrations
Well it’s the end of summer and just the start of celebrations for myself and family. August is jam packed with fun each year as it’s my 33rd birthday, 3rd wedding anniversary and 11th year living in Los Angeles. My whole life everything seems to start and end come the month of August, the height of summer and therefore quite a time for moi! So how does one celebrate their birthday with girlfriends, beyond the traditional birthday lunch? This year’s celebration with the ladie
