Classic Style: 100 Cozy Weather Sweaters
There are few things I love more… than a cozy sweater, a good book, a vanilla almond milk latte. The cold weather (meaning 65 degrees or less in LA) has me in frenzy with all the things I get to do in order to feel warm. Eating ramen, watching The Holiday, taking a bubble bath and of course wearing one of my many warm sweaters- a privilege really. So it’s not surprising that I would spend endless amounts time searching and scouring the internet and shops for essentially the s

Chic Places: An Afternoon In St.Helena, Napa Valley
What a charming little place… St. Helena is, one of the many idyllic towns in the Napa Valley region. This was my second trip to Napa and second wedding to attend. The first time I hadn’t really planned to explore beyond our hotel and wedding activities, so this time I was set on seeing more of the well known, well covered wine country and St. Helena was high on my list. We drove into the charming town from Calistoga, where my friend was getting married that weekend, for lunc

November Inspiration
The calm before the storm… It’s all about to happen, the holidays that can be oh so wonderful and oh so overwhelming too. I will of course be updating my annual holidazed post regarding my thoughts about not only surviving, but thriving, during this time of year. But before we get to all of that, I want to take this month as a nice little respite between a crazy end of summer/beginning of fall. Luckily for me, there’s not too much happening this month; no travel plans, no b

Chic Places: Wine Tasting In Napa Valley
We arrived in wine country… mid Thursday for my friend’s wedding. We figured we would make a long weekend out of it given the drive and therefore ambitiously left Los Angeles at the crack of dawn (3am to be precise) in order to make our 12:30pm reservation at Bouchon before an afternoon of wine tasting. It was crazy but it worked and despite the lack of sleep we actually had enough energy to last late into the evening. On the drive in we met up with our driver for the day. F

Chic Places: Bouchon Bistro And Bakery, Yountville
I was so excited… to check out the original Bouchon, as well as the perfectly positioned, and esteemed, Bouchon Bakery next door. I had been to locations in Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, but as for most popular restaurants that expand, trying the original place is always preferable. To clear any suspense, neither disappointed. We arrived just before or reservation at 12:30pm, by sheer luck given we had driven all the way up from Los Angeles that morning. But we were determined

Chic Places: La Tropezienne French Bakery
I came across this place on Instagram… as expected in the year 2019. Aside from looking like a perfect spot to settle in for a couple hours, the bakery itself has some delicious treats and outstanding coffee. The croissant was so big and buttery I ended up actually leaving some behind, not without a mountain of regret less than an hour later. I sat here for a good hour and a half, catching up on emails, sipping coffee and debating whether or not it was cool enough in West Hol

Falling For Fall: An Autumn Inspired Birthday Gift + Cake
My sister’s birthday is in October… but these goodies actually aren’t for her! Sorry Becky, but I figured my October loving friend Leila would benefit a bit more from a pumpkin spice latte cake with seasonal rap lyrics and a basket full of fall festivities. So where in the world did I find a pumpkin spice latte cake you may ask? SusieCakes – arguably my favorite cake place in Los Angeles- where I religiously order the marble cake each year for my birthday. But when I went to

Chic Places: The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
Dreams are coming true here… I’ll be honest, I am not the biggest theme park fan. I love a museum, a movie, a fashion exhibit, a late lunch…etc. I’ve been to Disneyland twice since living in Los Angeles and I am saving the next trip for my future children. But the second I heard about Universal Studios opening a Harry Potter themed park a few years back I was not far from booking a ticket to Florida, Orlando, not Miami. Fortunately, the Los Angeles park got it’s own version

Santa Monica Beach Apartment Tour: My Desk And Favorite "School" Supplies
I know back to school content has likely passed… but since I am just getting back at it, and really only care about grown up school supplies right now, I figured this would be the perfect time to share my little desk situation from our last home. Before moving into our unfinished condo, Arthur and I shared a one bedroom apartment with amazing views, but very little space. So this desk has continued to serve as my little slice of freedom and inspiration, and despite my strong

Falling For Fall: How To Find Autumn In Los Angeles
Well I think we all know… this post isn’t going to magically create piles of changing leaves or perfect sweater weather, however, it will allow those of us who crave the excitement of October to bask in the fun. I have now lived in Los Angeles for seven years and each time September rolls around I am the first one to order a pumpkin spiced latte (with the least amount of sugar possible) and buy pumpkins for the home. 1. Apple Picking The farm we went to is quite the drive

Chic Places: Fall Picnic And Apple Picking
Well we found the countryside… the Los Angeles countryside that is, and no, I am not referring to the valley. A friend of mine who was also raised somewhere with real seasons suggested a day of apple picking a few hours outside Los Angeles, so naturally I said YES and immediately started planning my little autumn outing to a special little place called Riley’s Farm . And yes, there’s a cheese plate; there will always be a cheese plate, even on the farm. Enjoy. I’ll admit th

Classic Style: Fall-ing Back To Basics
Well it’s finally October… and I couldn’t be more excited. Having the “10” in front of the date tends to add some more legitimacy to my attempt to make Fall happen here in Los Angeles, hence why I would love to get somewhere with cooler temps this month, just so I can wear my favorite sweaters with a bit more satisfaction. As I have mentioned many times before, this theoretical season change really brings wonderful memories back for me. Starting school again with all new clot

Chic Places: Moonscapes At Sarakiniko Beach, Milos Greece
I have very little words… and many great facial expressions, remembering this special very place. In the simplest of terms, this place is what I imagine Mars to look like, as it was truly out of this world. Perhaps that’s why the sun bleached, volcanic features are often referred to as moonscapes; a term that literally just means its characteristic of the moon. Outside of a Dr. Seuss story, I have not been privy to too many places as unique as this one yet, therefore I was be

Chic Places: A Shabby Chic Lunch In Kythnos Town, Greece
We stumbled into this darling little place for lunch, before our afternoon exploration of Hora on Kythnos island. Kythnos was not originally on our itinerary but fortunately we had wifi strong enough to find this super shabby chic place for a midday snack. I had found the restaurant’s name in English, Psipsína, but when we were walking down a side street from the center to find it, we had some difficulty as none of the sinage was in legible for us. Eventually, the few people

Falling For Fall: 100 Inspirational Images Of Autumn
It’s officially the first day of Fall… and per usual, I couldn’t be more excited. And even if the leaves haven’t started changing yet, I am alive and ready for what’s to come. I love the idea of something new wrapped into something familiar. It’s exciting and comfortable all at the same time. {image source} And while Los Angeles might not see the biggest shift in colors each season, we do have plenty of exciting ways to get into the autumn spirit. One of which, being my attem

Chic Places: The Magical Streets Of Syros Greece {Part 2}
We loved Syros so much… so of course I needed yet another post about this magical island. We didn’t have much time here to explore but our last morning here captured my favorite part of all, the beautiful sunrise at the very tip top city in Syros, before we took off for the next island. As I have mentioned before, most islands in Greece have small, historical city centers at the very highest point, likely created to protect them from invaders. This one on Syros is called Ano

Chic Places: A Weekend In Palm Springs
I’ve really been extending my summer… after a whirlwind trip to Greece for my honeymoon and now a little weekend getaway in Palm Springs, the warmer temps having been ruling my content this September. As much as I love summer, I couldn’t be more excited for Fall and all the fun that comes along with it. But before we get too deep into sweaters, I needed just one last adventure in the sun. The HOT desert sun. I went to Palm Springs for a good friend’s bachelorette weekend

Chic Places: The Magical Streets Of Syros, Greece {Part 1}
Syros, the Nice of Greece… Perhaps even better since I didn’t think Nice, France was that great to be honest. But with a glistening coastline, pastel shaded architecture and a vibrant and fresh energy, Syros stood out from the majority of the sleepy islands we visited on our sail through the Greek Isles. The capitol city in Syros, Ermoupoli, also serves as the capitol of the Cyclades region, where most of the islands we visited lie. We hadn’t originally planned on coming here

September Inspiration
Back to life, back to reality… Well it’s September and I am beyond excited to jump back into a routine at home, ready to fully engage in my annual attempt to find Fall in Los Angeles. As much as I love summer, this one was A LOT, to say the least. If you haven’t been paying attention I have done it all this summer: planned a wedding, moved into an unfinished condo, turned 30 , got married, left the country for two weeks, welcomed my in-laws to their new home in Los Angeles; I

Chic Places: An Afternoon In Santorini, Greece
We had about five real hours in Santorini, the volcanic island remnant from what was originally a big island of Thira, now the absolute center of tourism in Greece. Since the ocean floor is so deep our captain was unable to anchor at sea, and the port was too full for us to dock, so we took a ferry for a super quick day trip from Milos, a nearby, amazing island. As originally planned our first stop on my mini agenda was this charming and beautiful restaurant called Botargo,
